Question 1

Which laser power should an exporter choose for sheet metal cutting?

Accepted Answer

Job-shops cutting up to 8 mm mild steel usually specify 1.5–3 kW (HX Series). Fabricators processing 12–20 mm plate in production volume move to 6 kW (JX Series), while heavy plate and high-speed thin-sheet nesting is best handled by 12–40 kW MX and MX Pro platforms. Mehta engineers size the source against your actual material mix, gas cost and cycle-time target before quoting.

Question 2

Do Mehta machines meet international electrical and safety standards?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Production is carried out in ISO 9001:2015 certified facilities, machines are supplied with CE-compliant documentation, and voltage, frequency and plug configuration are built to the destination country specification (220V/380V/415V, 50/60 Hz).

Question 3

What after-sales support is available outside India?

Accepted Answer

Overseas customers are supported through authorised distributors plus a central technical desk in Ahmedabad. Support includes remote diagnostics, spare-parts kits shipped with the machine, operator and maintenance training, consumables supply and on-site commissioning by Mehta engineers.

Question 4

How long does delivery and commissioning take?

Accepted Answer

Standard configurations typically ship within 3–6 weeks of order confirmation; customised bed sizes, automation and loading systems require longer build cycles. Foundation drawings, utility lists and layout plans are shared in advance so the site is ready when the machine lands.

Question 5

Can I become an authorised Mehta distributor in my country?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Mehta appoints exclusive regional distributors and provides product training, demo-machine support, marketing assets, technical documentation and protected territory terms. Applications can be submitted through the Become a Distributor page.
